Who is Carl Jung?
Often referred to as C. G. Jung, was a Swiss psychiatrist andpsychotherapist who founded analytical psychology. His work has been influential in psychiatry and in the study of religion, philosophy, archeology, anthropology, literature, and related fields. He was a prolific writer, though many of his works were not published until after his death.
Jung created some of the best known psychological concepts, including the archetype, the collective unconscious, the complex, andsynchronicity. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), a popular psychometric instrument, was developed from Jung's theory of psychological types. |

Personality tests have emerged from this thoughts and extended by Katharine Briggs and her daughter, Isabel Myers. They developed the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator which classified people into 16 different types on the basis of four categories: Introversion-Extroversion Sensing-Intuition Thinking-Feeling Judging-Perceiving For example, a person could be Extroverted-Sensing-Feeling-Perceiving (ESFP) or Introverted-iNtuiting-Thinking-Judging (INTJ).
